Surrey Urban Farmers Market

Surrey Urban Farmers Market

For Your 5 A Day!

Each Saturday afternoon from lazy, hazy June to nippy October, something magical happens in the parking lot at Royal Kwantlen Park: it transforms from a cold concrete space into a bustling farm. And not just any farm. EVERY farm.

Welcome to the Surrey Urban Farmers Market.

Nowhere else in the city (or the countryside, for that matter) will you find such a mouth-watering variety of locally sourced seasonal fruits and veggies. The type of autumnal bounty you can expect to find as we head into the harvest season includes pears, berries, cherries, hazelnuts, carrots, corn, broccoli and more!

But that’s not all! Surrey Urban Farmers Market has grown to include food vendors, arts & crafts stands and even live music. Farmers markets are the perfect way to connect the producers and the consumers, creating a trustworthy relationship and encouraging food conversation. In this day and age of corporations, big box stores, and mass food production, it can be easy to lose focus on what we’re eating and where our food is coming from. A regular trip to a farmers market is one of the best ways to reconnect with our food.

Founded in 2007, the market is ideally situated in the heart of downtown Surrey, a short walk from the SkyTrain and the bus loop, making it one of the most accessible events of its kind, wherever you are. So come by and say hi!
