Free Holiday Light Festival Metro Vancouver
Celebrate the start of the holiday season at Bear Creek Lights, one of Surrey's most popular annual events. Each November, Bear Creek Park's award-winning gardens transform into a glowing evening walk with thousands of lights, illuminated displays, music and family-friendly photo opportunities. Admission is free, making it one of Metro Vancouver's best free holiday events.

What to Expect
Follow a peaceful 1 km illuminated walking loop through Bear Creek Park's gardens and paved pathways. Along the route you'll find:
- Thousands of twinkling lights
- A glowing light tunnel
- Nature-inspired light displays
- Seasonal music and treats
- Plenty of photo opportunities
- Flat, accessible trails
The route is self-guided, family-friendly and suitable for visitors of all ages. The event runs rain or shine, so dress for the weather.
Tickets
Admission is free, but timed-entry tickets must be reserved in advance. Tickets are typically released in mid to late October and often sell out quickly. If online reservations are gone, walk-up entry may still be available depending on capacity, although availability is limited on busy evenings and weekends.

Warm up with food trucks serving seasonal treats throughout the event. On select evenings, visitors can also enjoy live music, guided nature walks, nature story times.
