More about the acts:

Marianas TrenchWith double platinum and gold-selling records, chart-topping hits, and award-winning videos, this Canadian band has consistently raised the musical bar in the studio and on stage. Led by frontman Josh Ramsay, the band has toured across the globe and garnered numerous accolades, including a JUNO Award for Group of the Year.

Big Wreck – “An outpouring of rock music that is direct from the subconscious heart.” Big Wreck was formed in Boston in the early 90s by Toronto native Ian Thornley and Americans Brian Doherty, Forrest Williams and Dave Henning, students at the Berkley School of Music.  Their 1997 debut album, In Loving Memory, is certified double platinum in Canada and featured the chart-topping singles “Blown Wide Open,” “That Song” and “The Oaf”.

DefaultDefault is a Canadian hard rock/post-grunge band from Vancouver. Since forming in 1999 they have released four albums, and have sold more than a million records.

The Wild! – The Wild! still believe in rock n’ roll and after one listen, so will you. The rebellious foursome from the Great White North are a perfect mixture of rock’n’roll swagger and punkrock attitude. The Canadian quartet’s third album, Still Believe in Rock N’ Roll was produced by the band’s own Dylan Villain and A-list producer/engineer Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith), who has been a massive champion of the band from the start.

LOCASH – Named “country music’s iconic feel-good duo” by PEOPLE, BBR Music Group/BMG’s Wheelhouse Records’ LOCASH – Preston Brust and Chris Lucas – is “hitting homers and serving up first-class songs,” as hailed by American Songwriter.  Respected entertainers with prominent recognition, they hold a history of nods from the genre’s biggest awards shows including a Vocal Duo of the Year nomination at the 56th Annual CMA Awards.

James Barker BandThis band has achieved remarkable success in just eight years, from opening for local bands in dive bars to charting multiple No. 1 singles and playing stages across North America and Europe. With their latest gold-certified No. 1 hit “New Old Trucks” featuring Dierks Bentley, JBB now holds the title for the most #1s for a Canadian country group in the BDS/Mediabase era.

Meghan PatrickSince making her debut with 2016’s multi-award-winning Grace & Grit, Meghan Patrick has embodied the kind of unbridled truth-telling that leaves listeners feeling undeniably seen and understood. A back-to-back CCMA Female Artist of the Year whose accolades also include 18 CMAOntario Awards, the Nashville-based artist doubled down on that soul-baring specificity in the making of her latest project, The Greatest Show On Dirt.

Russell & Roots is brought to you by Russell Brewing Company and The Festival Company.

The net profits of the concert series will be donated back to the community, supporting several local organizations, including Surrey Fire Fighters, LIFTED youth and mental health, and Softball City.
