Buzz on over to the Honeybee Festival

You won’t bee-lieve what is making its return this weekend! Just in time for the return of the good summer weather, this family-friendly festival is back! The annual Honeybee Festival has become a classic Surrey event, offering amazing and educational entertainment for everyone.

This free 2-day event celebrates well … all things honeybee.  There will be a variety of fantastic local vendors, food and a wide array of bee-related activities for the whole family! There will be live bee-keeping demonstrations, honey extractions, storytimes, and a fan-favourite for any adventurous visitors, the famous bee beard showcase!

The Honeybee Centre acts as a fun and exciting hub for honeybee education. And there’s a lot to learn, from how the bees live, work and produce their honey, to the important role they play on a grander scale. Bees, who pollinate a third of the food consumed by humans, play a vital role in sustaining earth’s ecosystems. These little guys are more than just a cute, fuzzy face; they’re the guardians of the whole food chain, and they deserve to be celebrated!

If you are ready to learn about bees and the important role that they play in the world, and see all that they can do, come down to the Honeybee Centre at 7480 176 Street on Saturday, July 16th and Sunday, July 17th from 10 am to 4 pm and find out what all the buzz is about!
