Western Canada's Biggest Canada Day Celebration
Surrey is situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the q̓icə̓ y̓ (Katzie), q̓wɑ:n̓ƛən̓ (Kwantlen), and Semiahma (Semiahmoo) land-based nations.
Surrey Canada Day event, a free, family-friendly day of live music on four stages, amusement rides, Indigenous programming, food trucks, cultural performances, and a spectacular fireworks finale at Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Cloverdale, Surrey, BC. Expect a lively atmosphere filled with music, culture and community spirit from all day on July 1, 2026.
Music
One of the biggest highlights of Surrey’s Canada Day celebration is its dynamic live music lineup. Across multiple stages, you’ll find an exciting mix of genres, from country and hip hop to South Asian, reggae, and Indigenous performances.
Past festivals have featured major Canadian acts like The Reklaws, Broken Social Scene, alongside powerful performances from artists like PIQSIQ, Crown Lands, and Neon Dreams. Expect another stacked lineup in 2026, with chart-topping artists and emerging talent delivering high-energy performances all day long. Check the lineup here, when it's available.
Amusement Rides & Kid's Zones
Thrill-seekers will love the Shooting Star Amusement Rides — fan-favourites like the Zipper, Lightning Bolt, the Ferris Wheel, and the Kids Pirate Ship. The rides run all day until the fireworks at 10:15 PM. The Kid's Zone keeps the little ones busy with musical performances, Indigenous storytelling, circus performers, games, bouncy castles and crafts.
Food & Drinks
From all-Canadian classics to global flavours reflecting Surrey's incredible multiculturalism, the food truck lineup at Canada Day is as diverse as the city itself. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available across vendors. Past vendors have included Jamaican Mi Juicy (Jamaican Jerk Chicken), Japa Dog (Japanese-style hotdogs), Hunky Bill's (pierogies), plus mini doughnuts and hurricane potatoes. And yes, there will be poutine and Bannock.
Get refreshed with craft beer, wine, ciders and coolers at The Tavern. Must be 19+ to purchase and consume alcohol. Bring two pieces of government-issued ID.
Indigenous Village & Siam Stage
Surrey Canada Day is committed to sharing music, education, entertainment, and the cultural practices of many Indigenous, local and multicultural artists. July 1 is a day to reflect on the wrongs of the past to chart a new and better path forward. Together, we can work towards reconciliation and a more equitable society for all, and everyone is invited to come together to reflect, experience diverse cultural expression, and create hope for the future.
The Indigenous Village featuring the Siam Stage, meaning "Respected Ones" in Coast Salish languages. The stage showcases Indigenous cultural sharing from the Semiahmoo First Nation, Sharing Circles with Indigenous educators and healers, workshops and storytelling in a 30-foot Teepee, and an Indigenous marketplace to browse and purchase from local artisans and small businesses.
How To Get There
For visitors coming from Vancouver, YVR Airport, or other parts of Metro Vancouver, taking public transit is highly recommended. Start by taking the SkyTrain to either Surrey Central Station or King George Station, then transfer to the bus #320 (Langley Centre) and #345 (White Rock Centre). Exit near 64 Ave & 176 St (Highway 15), then enjoy a short 5–10 minute walk to the festival grounds. Expect over 75,000 attendees throughout the day, so plan extra travel time or get there early. Parking in the area will be limited. If you are driving, consider carpooling and parking further away to avoid congestion. Check translink.ca to plan your transit route.
Fireworks Finale
The celebrations wrap up with a spectacular fireworks show at 10:15 pm. Don't leave early! The most breathtaking moment of the night and the perfect send-off to a day full of music, food, culture, and community.
