Celebrate 30 years of environmental stewardship with Surrey’s Salmon Habitat Restoration Program (SHaRP) at Bear Creek Park. This free, family-friendly event blends community education, hands-on activities, and interactive displays all focused on the incredible salmon that return to local streams each year.

Event Highlights:

• Hands-On Activities: Learn cedar paddle carving from Métis artist Pat Calihou and paint wooden fish with the Stream of Dreams mural team

• Cupcake Celebration: Join speeches and enjoy free cupcakes at 4:30 PM, marking three decades of salmon habitat restoration

• Interactive Displays & Talks: Climb into a giant inflatable salmon, meet local knowledge‑holders, and hear underwater life stories from biologist Fernando Lessa

• Improve Fish Habitat: Watch the SHaRP team at work restoring King Creek habitat live on-site
