Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival: Food Truck Wars

Grabbing a bite at a good food truck is one of those things that isn’t appreciated enough. You know that moment when you take a bite and realize this is exactly what you’ve been craving? Now multiply that moment by 40 different food vendor options. That’s what’s coming to Surrey this April.

The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is returning to the Cloverdale Exhibition Grounds for three days of BC’s best street food, a local shopping experience, live entertainment and competition where you help decide the winner. With 40 food trucks, local artisans, games, and a beverage garden, this is your ultimate spring food festival.

Food Trucks & Competition

Over 30 local food trucks will be serving signature dishes and exclusive competition creations, with options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. When it becomes available, you will find the food lineup here. Visitors can vote for their favourite trucks in the Food Truck Wars competition, which includes awards for Best in Show, Best Meat Sweats, Best Sweet Treats and more. Special contests this year include the 2nd annual Hot Dog Eating Contest on Saturday and the 1st-ever Donut Dash on Friday night, with a $250 prize up for grabs.

Entertainment & Activities

Live entertainment will keep the festival buzzing on the main stage, while roaming performers bring interactive fun across the grounds. Families can enjoy the Kid Zone, featuring mini golf, a rock wall, bounce animals, crafts, chalk art, face painting, and games for children of all ages.

Beverage Experience

There won't be a designated beer garden, as the entire venue you will be able to freely enjoy your drink while trying food vendors. Food Truck Wars is family and pet-friendly, ensuring everyone can join in the fun.

Shop Local & Community

Visitors can browse a curated artisan market from BC Shop Local, showcasing unique handmade items. Partial proceeds benefit The White Rock Titans, a youth football and cheerleading organization, while the festival continues to support local food trucks, small businesses, and community entrepreneurship.

But this festival isn’t just a showcase of great-tasting food. It’s about celebrating local businesses and community connections.
