Bear Creek Park's mini railway takes on a darker character after sundown each October, transforming into a haunted night ride through the forest. Riders travel through fog and strobe lights while scare actors lurk among the trees — including the train's resident chainsaw-wielding menace, Chainsaw Charlie — for jump scares and unsettling surprises along the route.
The Scream Train runs nightly from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, October 16 through November 1, 2026. Admission is $18 per person plus tax. Tickets are available online in advance, and while walk-ins are accepted if online tickets sell out, arriving without a ticket may mean a wait. Purchased tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, so riders are encouraged to arrive on time for their scheduled ride. Access cards are accepted, and a concession stand offers hot and cold drinks, chips, candy, popcorn, and hot dogs.
This after-dark attraction features frightening scenes and startling surprises, and is recommended for ages 12 and up — younger riders are welcome at a parent or guardian's discretion. Families looking for a gentler experience can instead visit the daytime Bear Creek Park Pumpkin Train.
