What to do at Surrey Canada Day

Grab the maple syrup, dress yourself in red, and head to the Surrey Canada Day celebration that’s set to throw this great nation one heck of a 151st birthday party!

Western Canada’s biggest Canada Day festival has A LOT going on. Whether you’ve got a junior Canuck, or you’ve celebrated many Canada Days in your time, there’s an activity to peak your interest. From amusement rides to drone racing, food trucks to Strawberry Teas, there’s a little something for everyone, and we’re here to make sure to get in on all that good-Canadian-fun!

Thrill-seekers and future dare-devils will have a BLAST on the Shooting Star Amusement Rides. For the first time ever, you can see #SurreyCanadaDay from the sky… well, kind of. This year’s Surrey Canada Day will feature a 270′ zip line that’s not only a huge adrenaline rush, it’s free! Aspiring skateboard and BMX riders can show off their skills at the Cloverdale Youth Park Jam from 1:00-6:00pm, and spectators are more than welcome.

If #KidApprovedBC activities are your draw for Canada’s birthday bash, Surrey doesn’t disappoint. With designated areas like Toddler Town for kiddos to run, play, and have fun in a safe zone, and Kids World dedicated to crafts and face painting, there’s lots of fun and age-appropriate ways for the kids to wish Canada a happy birthday.

This year’s musical performances include an exciting lineup of Canadian hit-makers like Stompa singer Serena Ryder, and Canadian country singer Brett Kissel.
