She intends to make her art spark conversations and make a positive difference in the world.

Her silk paintings and coloured pencil drawings have been exhibited extensively in the Lower Mainland and beyond. Mary Stevenson

Medium: Textile, Fibre
Location: Semiahmoo Arts
When it comes to fibre and textiles, Mary has done it all. She moved to Ontario to design a clothing line of natural fibres under her label ‘Island Comforts,’ which soon developed into a cottage industry that employed several seamstresses and opened several retail outlets in Ontario. However, Mary left this stressful endeavour behind to later pursue her passion for creating art with textiles. Through the use of merino fleece and acrylic paint, Mary illustrates vivid portraits of beautiful sceneries and tranquil nature.

Whether it is her backyard garden or the mountain sceneries she glimpses from her travels, Nancy takes photographs of nature to fuel her imagination. Having been painting since she was 14-years-old, Nancy enjoys the way paint blends and adapts, allowing for an endless possibility of styles and treatments. After accomplishing a two-year Visual Arts program at Camosun College in Victoria, Nancy has been pursuing art as a career ever since.

Operating the only glassblowing studio in the city of Surrey, Robert has 25 years under his belt when it comes to manipulating molten glass. Many of his works reflect nature and are often influenced by a combination of colours, patterns and shapes.
