Your Guide to Surrey Farmers Markets

With the warmer months come Surrey’s bounty of fresh local produce just waiting to be devoured. After all, 30 percent of Surrey’s land is dedicated to agriculture and committed to local food-growing. So it’s no surprise that there are a variety of Farmers’ Markets and farm stores peppered across the city where you can pick-and-choose your weekly produce pickup.

Clayton Market

Clayton Community Centre | 7155 187A Street
Neighbours supporting neighbours is what the Clayton Market is all about. A pop-up marketplace celebrating makers, bakers and growers from the Clayton Community and beyond. Visit the market twice monthly from May to October (check their website for this year’s dates) from 10 am to 3 pm.

Shop over 75 vendors, selling everything from fresh local produce and baked goods to prepared foods and artisan crafts. Be sure to try authentic perogies from Betty-Anne Perogies, bright and delicious harvest from Matt’s Farm Fresh Produce, and pick up some beautiful blooms from Fae’s Flowers.

Surrey Urban Farmers Market

Royal Kwantlen Park (104th St & Old Yale Rd) | North Surrey

Cloverdale Market Days

176 Street (between 56A Avenue & 58 Avenue)
One of Metro Vancouver’s largest open-air markets, Cloverdale Market Days takes over the charming streets of Cloverdale with almost 150 vendors and food trucks which line 176 Street.  Enjoy family-friendly fun for all, buskers, food trucks, free face painting and balloon twisting.  Markets take place monthly, on select Saturdays from May to September from 10 am to 3 pm.

Farm Stores

Kingfisher Market
512 – 172 Street | South Surrey
The Kingfisher Market truly gives you that farm to table experience. Open from mid-June into the Autumnal season, this neighbourhood farm provides the opportunity to shop for fresh sustainably grown veggies, flowers, meat, cheese, bread, eggs, and honey. The vegetables, grown right on their farm, are hand-picked every Tuesday for optimum freshness. You can even visit the cows and chickens who call the farm home and see where the harvest is hauled from.

Rondriso Farm
8390 172 Street | Fleetwood
This small family-run farm store features seasonally grown produce, including the sweetest corn you’ll ever taste, homegrown free-run eggs and SPCA-certified beef & chicken.  And during summer, fall & winter pick up a produce box showcasing a variety of seasonal vegetables from the farm and trusted suppliers. Open Thursday – Saturday.

Mary’s Garden
15649 40 Avenue | South Surrey
Local, no-spray veggies are for sale at Mary’s Garden. This family-run business is one you can feel good about supporting. Mary has since retired, but her sons have continued on and kept the market and farm going strong. Open every day except Sunday, Mary’s Garden is a great place to visit when you feel the urge to stock your crisper.

A Rocha Farm & Gift Store
1620 192 Street | South Surrey
More than a farmers market, the A Rocha Farm & Gift Shop is a place for community engagement. While you’re picking up your field-fresh veggies, take a little time to browse locally and sustainably produced gift items, or enjoy a cup of freshly brewed pour-over coffee. Veggies are available Tuesday and Saturday, while the shop is also open Wednesday to Friday.

Surrey Farms

Surrey Farms has a wide variety of fruits and vegetables sourced from their own fields and local farms. Based on the season, fields are open for you and yours to pick fruit fresh off the plant. From strawberries and Okanagan cherries to Chilliwack corn and romaine, Surrey Farms has all of the fresh produce you could ask for.
