Free Carnival with 10 Days of Rides in Metro Vancouver

Vaisakhi is a centuries-old celebration marking the birth of Sikhism in 1699 and the arrival of the spring harvest. As part of the festivities leading up to the world’s largest Vaisakhi parade, a free "mela" or carnival returns to Surrey for two weekends of trilling fun.

The excitement of Vaisakhi in the air! Find yourself on the Ferris Wheel snacking on mini donuts, bumping into your friends with the bumper cars or snacking on South Asian food nearby the festival grounds.

Admission & Tickets Entry to the grounds is free. Parking is free. (Note: parking is extremely limited on April 18 — transit is strongly recommended for parade day.)

All tickets and wristbands are available onsite.

Rides

This year's carnival features 12 to 14 rides including the Ferris wheel, Spider, Sizzler, Tornado, Zero Gravity, bumper cars, Atlantis, and more, brought to you by Shooting Star Amusements — a Canadian, family-owned operation that has been part of Surrey's Vaisakhi celebrations every year since the late 1990s.

Weather Notice

This is an outdoor event. Check Shooting Star Amusements' Facebook page before heading out, as the carnival may be cancelled on days with bad weather.
