Bad Axe Throwing

Bad Axe Throwing

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a lumberjack action hero? Just us? Well, if your axe-throwing skills are a little rusty … or maybe non-existent, head to Bad Axe Throwing in Surrey’s Newton Neighbourhood. Dedicated to bringing this traditional Canadian backyard pastime to urban communities, Bad Axe Throwing is the world’s largest urban axe-throwing club.

It’s exactly what it sounds like, throwing axes at targets. And, while it sounds a lot easier than it really is, there are some nuances to the sport to pick up. But from ages 8 to 80, as long as you can lift the axe, your instructors can coach just about anyone to successfully land their first axe.  Book a lane, or visit during walk-in hours, and learn how to throw axes in a safe, welcoming environment. Before your session, experienced staff will teach you the ins and outs of axe throwing and we guarantee that once you hear the thud of landing your first axe, you’ll be hooked. Once you’ve mastered it, and feel like a bit of an axe-throwing whiz, you can step it up a notch with trick shots, or try throwing two axes at once.

Axe throwing is a perfect indoor activity for families, groups of friends, date night or corporate events, and there’s even an axe-throwing league and championship tournament for anyone looking to get a little more competitive.
