Your Summer Guide to Surrey's Outdoor Swimming Pools

With the weather getting hotter and summer break quickly approaching, there’s no better way to spend a sweltering afternoon than enjoying a dip in one of Surrey’s many outdoor pools. Whether you bring the whole family, enroll the kids in lessons, or decide to go for a solo swim, there are plenty of easily accessible pools dispersed all across Surrey. An added bonus: admission is free at all eight pools!

Note: Bear Creek, Greenaway, and Sunnyside outdoor pools are now open. Hjorth Road opens on June 1 and Holly, Kwantlen, Port Kells and Unwin outdoor pools open on June 22.

Outdoor Pools in Surrey

Bear Creek Outdoor Pool

Located at the east edge of Bear Creek Park’s parking lot, this outdoor pool is the perfect venue to spend a hot summer day. All of Bear Creek Park's amenities are available for public use, such as picnic shelters, providing a location to fuel up before and after swimming.

Greenaway Outdoor Pool

Greenaway Pool occupies a unique location as it is nestled right in the heart of Cloverdale. Your group can’t decide on one activity to do? No problem; Elements Casino, Greenway Park Tennis Courts, Fraser Downs Racetrack and the Cloverdale Recreation Centre are only a short walking distance away!

Hjorth Road Outdoor Pool

This pool is the perfect place for groups on a scorching day, as it is one of the larger pools in Surrey. No wonder it is such a popular summer destination, as there is a large, versatile field surrounding it to have picnics, play games and kick around a soccer ball!

Holly Outdoor Pool

Holly Park is home to softball and soccer fields, lacrosse and ball hockey courts, a playground, a community garden, and Holly Outdoor Pool, which is positioned in the south-west corner. If you’re looking for a jam-packed day of good old-fashioned outdoor fun, this is the place for you!

Kwantlen Outdoor Pool

Located right by Kwantlen Park Secondary School, Kwantlen Outdoor Pool is nestled in a nice, quiet park with an inviting playground. A great place to bring just about everyone to enjoy a refreshing dip in marvelously blue water!

Port Kells Outdoor Pool

This pool can be found at Port Kells Park, just west of the Port Kells Village Centre. Along with the pool, there are other entertaining outdoor amenities that can be found at the park, including baseball diamonds and a turf field, that can add to a fun-filled afternoon!

Sunnyside Outdoor Pool

If you are looking to spend an afternoon at a cosy community park, this is the pool for you. The park has multiple playgrounds and is frequented by many families to spend a day outdoors and enjoy the sunshine!

Unwin Outdoor Pool

Out of all eight outdoor pools, this pool has the most versatile location as it resides in a park that has endless amenities. Unwin Park has something for everyone including: a new water park, soccer fields, sports boxes, baseball diamonds, picnic shelters and a BBQ area!
