Summer is Surrey’s season to shine.

Be it the sunshine finally breaking through, or the perfect conditions to enjoy Surrey’s many outdoor spaces, festival season has officially kicked-off in Surrey. From exciting cultural celebrations to #KidApprovedBC events, make the best of the sunniest season with Surrey’s summer celebrations.

FVDED in the Park

July 6 – 7
Holland Park, 13428 Old Yale Road

This two-day electronic dance music festival is set for its third instalment, and has some pretty big headliners slated to perform. Boasting notable names like Future and Kygo, local up-and-comer Harrison Brome, and many more, bring your dancing shoes and groove to the tunes. Be sure to purchase tickets in advance for this summer music festival.

Honeybee Festival

July 14
Honeybee Centre, 7480 176 Street

This one’s for the whole family! The Honeybee Centre is opening up their hive for all to see and celebrate. Join in on honey tastings, watch live “bee beard” demonstrations, and enjoy the local artisan market. The best part? This event is free and drop-in friendly.

Surrey Fusion Festival

July 21 – 22
Holland Park, 13428 Old Yale Road

Surrey’s annual Fusion Festival truly has everything a culture connoisseur looks for in an event. Incredibly diverse and delicious cuisine, musical and dance performances, 54 cultural pavilions, and of course, a never-ending supply of family friendly activities. Come hungry (admission is free!), leave inspired.

Clover Valley Beer Festival 

August 11
Cloverdale Millennium Amphitheatre, 17728 64 Avenue

Enjoy great food, live music, and of course, delicious local craft beer. Sample brews from over 20 craft breweries (including Surrey’s own Russell Brewing), and enjoy Cloverdale’s fresh air and fun games with friends. Tickets can be purchased in advance here.

Beach House Theatre

August 14 – 19
3140 McBride Ave

Featuring two productions that take place right on the waterfront, Beach House Theatre caters to both families and theatre buffs. This year’s productions include the family friendly Miss Electricity, and Rumors, a witty and charming fast-paced comedy. Tickets go on sale mid-June, and they sell out quickly.

Movies Under the Stars

August 4 – 25
Holland Park, 13428 Old Yale Road

Family movie night just got a big upgrade! Every Saturday in August, family-friendly movies such as Coco, and Paddington 2 will be screened under the stars at Holland Park. Top tip: there will be free popcorn!
