Santa Claus is coming to Surrey … and he’s arriving in style!

On Sunday, December 1, the Surrey Santa Parade of Lights will light up Cloverdale's historic town centre with festive cheer. Organized by the Cloverdale Business Improvement Association (BIA) alongside the BC Vintage Truck Museum, local organizations, and dedicated volunteers, this beloved event promises a magical evening filled with dazzling lights and holiday spirit.

Inspired by the famous 1997 Coca-Cola lighted truck commercial, partly filmed in Downtown Cloverdale, the parade captures all the joy of the season. From creatively decorated floats and lively marching bands to beautiful vintage vehicles and the iconic lighted big rigs, this holiday tradition is sure to spark wonder in all ages.

As the parade winds through Cloverdale, families line the streets, wrapped in cozy scarves and hats, eager to catch a glimpse of Santa. Don’t miss out on this magical community celebration—mark your calendar and experience the joy of the Surrey Santa Parade of Lights!

Parade Route: The 2024 parade starts at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds (176A St & 60 Ave) where they will turn east onto 60th Avenue before turning right onto 177B Street. The floats and trucks will turn right on 57 Ave, then right on 176 Street past Hawthorne Square, where they will turn right on 58 Ave and then left on 176A Street and return to the Fairgrounds.  You can view a map of the route here.

The Surrey Santa Parade of Lights will begin at 5:00 pm and there will be several groups along the parade route selling food and novelties, with proceeds going to charity.
