Santa Claus is coming to Surrey … and he’s arriving in style!
The beloved Surrey Santa Parade of Lights is back after a two-year break! The parade rolls out at 5 pm, so be sure to get there early and stake out a spot along the parade route, and get ready for a traditional (with a twist) Santa Parade through Cloverdale. Though slightly smaller than in previous years, the traditional parade has everything you love about a parade – floats, marching bands, antique vehicles and horses, but the big event is Big Rigs for Kids! This amazing lighted Truck Parade was inspired by the 1997 Coca-Cola lighted truck commercial and is a sight to be seen!
The 2022 parade starts at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds’ where they will pass Shannon Hall and the B.C. Vintage Truck Museum and parade down 176A Street to 57 Avenue. The floats and trucks will then turn west on 57th for one block, then turn north up 176 Street. They’ll then take a west turn at 58 Avenue before ending at Hwy 15. You can view a map of the route here.
The event is supporting three charities this year: The Cloverdale Christmas Hamper Program, the food bank, and the Surrey Christmas Bureau, and attendees are invited to bring donations of non-perishable food items, new toys and cash.
The Surrey Santa Parade of Lights starts at 5 pm precisely at the corner of 176A Street and 60th Avenue.
