Surrey Santa Parade of Lights

Santa Claus is coming to Surrey … and he’s arriving in style!

Looking for a festive family night out now that Vancouver’s Santa parade is on hold for 2023? Look no further than the enchanting 16th annual Surrey Santa Parade of Lights, set to dazzle the historic town centre of Cloverdale on Sunday, December 3.

Organized by the Cloverdale Business Improvement Association (BIA), in collaboration with the BC Vintage Truck Museum, local organizations, and dedicated volunteers, this holiday extravaganza promises a magical evening filled with twinkling lights and heartwarming festivities.

Inspired by the iconic 1997 Coca-Cola lighted truck commercial (that was partially filmed in Downtown Cloverdale), the Surrey Santa Parade of Lights has all the classic elements that make a parade memorable – creatively decorated community floats, enthusiastic marching bands, beautifully decorated vintage vehicles, and the spectacular lighted big rigs.

As the parade winds through the historic town centre, you can’t help but feel the magic of the season come alive. Families gather along the route, bundled up in warm scarves and hats, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa.

So, mark your calendars and join the community in celebrating the spirit of the season at the Surrey Santa Parade of Lights.

Parade Route: The 2023 parade starts at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds (176A St & 60 Ave) where they will turn right onto 60th Avenue before turning right onto 176B Street. The floats and trucks will turn right on 57 Ave, then right on 176 Street past Hawthorne Square, where they will turn right on 58 Ave and then left on 176A Street and return to the Fairgrounds.   You can view a map of the route here.

The Surrey Santa Parade of Lights will begin at 5:00 pm and there will be several groups along the parade route selling food and novelties, with proceeds going to charity.
