Spice Trail Cocktails

What would a tour of the world’s most inspired culinary experiences be without a signature cocktail to match? Surrey’s Spice Trail is home to some of the most innovative bartenders who incorporated the flavours of their region to perfection! From a classic margarita from Mexico to the exotic tastes of Southern Asia, these cocktails are next level!

Clove – The Art of Dining
14310 64 Ave

Surrey’s answer to fine dining, Clove has an elegant, warm, and friendly ambience in a stunning, modern environment. Enjoy delicious set menus as well as a la carte options, and everything points to perfection. Each cocktail is accompanied by a beautiful story explaining the inspiration, and they are as delicious as they are stunning.

The Indian Alchemist – Ghee whitewashed, Havana 3 Rum, fresh lime juice, orgeat syrup and Golden Pear Liqueur.

Afghan Kitchen
115 – 16120 24 Ave

At Afghan Kitchen, you dine like a member of the family, and that begins with taking off your shoes. If you’re happy on the floor, choose the raised seating area. You’ll get to enjoy carpets, cushions, and candlelit glass lanterns. If you prefer to stay shoed, there are plenty of tables and plenty of lanterns.

Band-E-Amir – gin, lemon juice, egg white, house-crafted Afghan spice syrup, and topped with pea flowers.

Dominion Bar & Grill
13475 Central Avenue, Unit D1

A striking art deco clock catches the eye when entering Dominion, reminding diners that time passes on, the world always changes, and the old makes way for the new. It’s helpful to remember this as the waiter tells you about “New Canadian”, head chef Jo Ong’s marriage of old traditions and new flavours.

Pineapple Mezcalita – Mezcal, Triple sec, fresh lime and pineapple juice, ginger, Tajin spiced rim.

Curry Lounge
16030 24 Ave #130

How often is your food served with a wooden kitchen spoon? South Surrey’s Curry Lounge is a modern, classy place, but touches like these ground their culinarily elevated dishes so you can focus on enjoying your meal instead of worshipping it.

Darjeeling Express – Chai, Kahlua, Irish Cream, Vodka

Showshaa Modern Taproom
3020, 152 Street

Ultimately, the food’s focus is on fun. Exciting options like sizzlers light up the restaurant when a server carries a hotplate to your table stuffed with your personal selection of protein, sauces, spices, and sides. Butter chicken on fries? Prawns with white sauce on flavoured rice? It’s up to your imagination.

Pani Puri Margarita – pani puri water (tamarind), tequila, topped with a crisp pani puri.

Guacamole Mexican Grill
10671A King George Blvd

Rosa and Marvin are the real deal. Their recipes are authentic, their horchata is delicious, and they do eight kinds of meats: asada, shredded beef, chorizo, pollo (which takes all night to prepare), al pastor, carnitas… and that’s just the tacos.

Michelada – beer, Clamato juice, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce

Mainland Whisky
3425 189 St #107

Hand-crafted, made in small batches and never chill-filtered, Surrey’s newest distillery, Mainland Whisky honours traditional moonshine practices, and their unique recipes highlight British Columbia organic corn and barley. Visit their tasting lounge in South Surrey for craft cocktails and soul food.

Don’t Be Chai – Cinnamon Whisky, Coffee Whisky Liqueur, cardamom brown sugar, cold brew coffee.
