Canada Cup – Let’s Play Softball!

Head to Softball City in South Surrey and cheer for the home team, or your favourite team!

The Canada Cup International Softball Championship has been a summer fixture in Surrey since 1993. The 2024 event is on track to be the largest in tournament (and Canada’s) history, with more than 1,500 athletes confirmed to compete at South Surrey’s Softball City. With past, present, and future Olympians all participating, the tournament is considered one of the most high-profile events on the fastpitch calendar for college recruitment, and is an exciting weekend of top calibre softball!

The tournament features five divisions:  Showcase Select and Showcase Gold (under 16s), Futures Select and Futures Gold (under 19s) divisions, and international women’s fastpitch. This year, some of the highest-ranked women’s teams in the world will take to the diamond for the women’s competition. In addition to hometown favourites, Team Canada, other world class teams taking to the diamond include Australia, Chinese Taipei, Czechia, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines and TC Colorado.  The roster for Team Canada includes Surrey locals Kianna Jones, Grace Messmer, Madelyn McKinnon and 2020 Olympic bronze medal winners Sara Groenewegen,  Larissa Franklin and Kelsey Harshman.

Food trucks, vendors and entertainment will be on site all weekend, and while you’re visiting Surrey be sure to check out some of the neighbouring businesses around South Surrey!
