We’re pretty excited to be having Teresa Rajczak take over our Instagram account this week. This Surrey resident of over twenty years has a knack for capturing this beautiful city no matter where she finds herself, and sharing these beautiful photos with over 17,000 people who follow her Instagram account: @ladykicia.
Originating from Poland, Teresa moved to Canada in 1990, and put her roots down in the Guildford neighbourhood in ’93. As a mother of two and a grandmother of four, her hands are pretty much always full, but when they aren’t, you can bet she has a camera in hand. And the results are absolutely stunning. You can expect to see some spectacular vistas of parks and scenic views in her feed, or interesting perspectives on points of interest like the new Port Mann Bridge. Beyond our city limits, Teresa captures this beautiful province like a true local of each and every community she visits, the tell-tale sign of a seasoned photographer.
Her photos are an accumulation of hours and hours of practice. No one simply picks up a camera and immediately understands the relationship between ISO’s and f-stops, apertures and lens focal lengths. She fine-tuned her skills and began posting her photographs to Instagram, and quickly joined the #TrueSurrey community, sharing her photographs with other local photographers.
From hidden gems like Barnston Island, to local hot-spots like Crescent Beach, Teresa captures the beauty of Surrey authentically, so be sure to check our Instagram account daily to see a handful of Teresa’s favourite captures in the city of Surrey.
