La bulle – Magical Show in a Snow Globe in Surrey’s Glades Woodland Park

This summer, prepare to be mesmerized by the visually stunning La bulle by CORPUS Dance Projects. Set against the glorious backdrop of The Glades Woodland Garden as night falls, La bulle features a life-sized, one-of-a-kind bubble tent and its sole inhabitant: Pierrot, the iconic loner and dreamer.

In this theatrical setting, through mime, dance, text, and even drawing, Pierrot tries to connect with his audience. Dressed in the classic black and white costume and make-up, he befriends those who are willing to give him a little time and embraces his solitude wholeheartedly, with humour and a poetic soul.

Pierrot is performed by David Danzon, who is also the Artistic Director and Co-founder of CORPUS Dance Projects. He learned about storytelling and perfected his comedic timing by studying masters like Charlie Chaplin, the Marx Brothers, and Buster Keaton.

Presented by Surrey Civic Theatres as part of the Surrey SPARK Stages series of performances, this beautiful, funny and non-verbal show is for all ages. Charming and magical, Surrey audiences are in for a special performance.

The backdrop of Glades Woodland Garden is a dream made real, and the perfect setting for La bulle. A wonderland of exotic plant life, beautiful flowers, and mossy garden statues, visitors can escape into the lush greenery and can get lost amongst the canopy of trees, picturesque ponds, and flowering plants. This carefully cultivated marvel was a product of love and a whole lot of work from members of the community and the city to make it what it is today.

The gardens are open for visitors starting at 7:00 pm before the show begins at 8:00 pm. La bulle will take place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately!
